Produced from specially selected vineyards and matured in small new French oak barrels for 18 months.
Deep ruby hues, with potent aromas of mint jelly, blackberries, cassis and bouquet garni, all underpinned by gentle whiffs of pencil shavings. Delicate and fine tannins are weaved behind a sultry fruit core of blackcurrants, with great balance between wood and fruit. Powerful yet fresh and velvety. Fynbos shrub and buchu notes on the long, dry finish.
The perfect pairing with steak, beef short ribs, slow-braised beef dishes, butterflied leg of lamb, aged cheddar and Gouda and blue cheeses like Gorgonzola.
