Chenin Blanc
Current Vintage – 2024
Grapes from Certified Heritage Vineyards, planted between 1979 – 1984, were fermented and matured in small new French oak barrels for 12 months.
Enchanting light gold hues, followed by inviting aromas of marmalade, citrus peel, bruised apple, peach, apricot, and ripe pineapple, supported by a subtle undertone of oak spice, butter, and lemon meringue. The palate entry is soft and supple, leading to a rounded, textured mid-palate with notable weight. The well-judged use of oak adds dimension without overpowering the wine’s core fruit. Flavours of citrus, yellow apple, butterscotch, and dried pineapple unfold in succession, guided by a fine, balancing acidity. Great length of flavours on the finish, completing a wine with a layered structure and poised integration of fruit and oak.
An excellent choice with rich & creamy poultry dishes, cream-based pastas, spicy Asian cuisine, and buttery prawns.
